Crochet Candy Corn Bunting

INSPIRATION
Like so many of you, Fall is my absolute favorite season, and with it being just around the corner I thought it would be the perfect time to kick-off my blog! My very first pattern, Crochet Candy Corn Bunting, is bright and cheerful and just in time for Halloween.
I love the bright colors of Halloween, the yellows, oranges, purples and bright greens, and when I decorate my home for this holiday I tend to avoid the creepy, scary, gory stuff and go more for smiling pumpkins, cute witches, funny signs and sprinkles of candy corn decor.
To me, candy corn and Halloween go hand in hand and in my opinion, you can’t have one without the other. Even if you really don’t care for candy corn as a candy itself, it really does make cute holiday decor. So, I came up with this quick and easy crochet bunting and I’m excited to hang it come October 1st. Happy Fall Y’all!

EASY/BEGINNER
This easy crochet bunting pattern uses basic repetitive stitches with simple decreases and finishing, and two easy color changes.
MATERIALS

Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in BRIGHT YELLOW, PUMPKIN & WHITE
Medium 4 / 100% Acrylic/ 364 yrds

MEASUREMENTS
Hanging String (WHITE yarn) measures 90″L.
Each candy corn triangle measures 6 3/4″ across the top and 9″ from top to point.

Row 2 – sc 28, make 2 sc in last stitch, ch 1, turn – (30)

Simple Bows (Make 4)
STRINGING CANDY CORN TRIANGLES & BOWS
With your WHITE yarn measure and cut 90″ in length. This will be your hanging string.
Thread your tapestry needle with one end of the string.
Take your first candy corn triangle and start threading your needle through the backside stitches only, making sure the needle is not going through to the front side (see photos).
Continue threading through the back stitches until the entire triangle is attached to the hanging string.
With the first candy corn triangle attached to the string, next thread the string through the knot of the first bow and slide the bow right next to the triangle.
Repeat the stringing pattern of candy corn triangle then bow then triangle and so on until you have strung all five triangles and four bows.
And there you have it. A bright and cheerful, easy crochet Halloween bunting that’s ready to hang.
